Since 2003, when the Hong Kong Institute of Transport and Logistics Management (HKITLM) was established, we have been pleased with the opportunities for cross-fertilisation of ideas that have become available across our institute.

HKITLM has attracted many of the most dynamic personnel working internationally from all fields of inquiry who have galvanized our institute in many various forms.

Additionally, the public lecture series of the institute has regularly welcomed the general community of Hong Kong in large and enthusiastic numbers to participate in the institute's research work and be involved in discussing the topical issues of the day.

We continue the great tradition of being a institute in the community through various initiatives that have direct impact.

The Hong Kong Institution of Transportation and Logistics Management (HKITLM) is a non-profit international professional institution composed of individuals organized to enhance the art and science of logistics technology, education and management.

HKITLM was founded in 2002 as the international professional institution engaging in educational and endeavors to advance the art of transportation and logistics management in the world. HKITLM conduct technical meetings, symposiums and workshops, all designed to provide the HKITLM member with opportunities for professional advancement.

 

The Institution is to advance the science of the life cycle management of systems, facilities, manufacturing and production plants, logistics equipment, vehicles and mass transportation and railways services, supply chain management and transportation planning and related industries in
Hong Kong by:

1. Improving professional education, training, competence and ethics;
2. Influencing legislation and design;
3. Enhancing public understanding of the contribution of the new body and its membership to Company;
4. Promoting the benefits of the new body's membership and professional registration.
5. Establishing the vision of "To be the preferred professional body for those engaged in the life cycle management of systems, facilities, manufacturing and production plants, logistics equipment, vehicles and mass transportation and railways services, supply chain management and transportation planning and related industries and the recognized authority on these matters."

Professor Fred Chin is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Institut Prima Bestari, Malaysia and founder of Pine Academy Group. He is also Vice President of the Institute of Commercial & Industrial Accountants Malaysia and Chairman of Education & Examination Sub-Committee. Professor Fred is also recognised under South African legislation as a Commissioner for Oath and acceptable by High Court of Malaya.
